Abigail Despres is a project manager specializing in microgrid development, community engagement, and environmental justice. She has a Bachelor in Political Science from the University of Maine where she minored in French and International studies. She also holds a Master in Business Administration and a Master in Public Policy from Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy & Management where she concentrated on environmental justice. Before her work with CESI, Abigail held multiple internship positions within the clean energy and equitable transition space as well as experience on Capitol Hill where she interned with Representative Golden and completed work on energy policy and women’s rights policy. Her passion is for the visionary development of systems and technologies that construct a more equitable world while responding to the burdens and threats associated with climate change for marginalized communities. As an avid Mainer, Abigail enjoys being outdoors as much as possible and exploring new ways to relate to the world around us.
